Two Picked Up For Meth In Martin County

(SHOALS) - Two people were picked up over the weekend in two separate incidents for meth charges.

State police say Friday, a search warrant was issued for the Shoals home of 35-year-old John VanDeVenter Jr. and, during the search, VanDeVenter pulled in and in searching him, police found both meth and pot.

VanDeVenter was originally wanted for unrelated charges.

Then, Saturday, another warrant was issued for the home of a Jon Sims in Shoals, and during the search, they found 35-year-old Lonnie Knepp of Montgomery to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Both were taken to Martin County jail.
