(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County detectives are investigating a series of burglaries in the area that have connections to Indianapolis, and officers took two into custody last night.

Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig tells WBIW News 46-year-old Ruth Gentry and 29-year-old Adam Gibson, both of Bedford, were arrested last night and charged with burglary.

The arrest was made, in part, due to help from a victim on Shawswick Station Road yesterday who reportedly caught the pair in progress, and was able to provide a description of their vehicle to Lawrence County police.

Police located the vehicle, the suspects and found a connection with individuals in Indianapolis who are now under investigation.

Search warrants turned up stolen Lawrence County property both locally and in Indy. Sheriff Craig says to expect more arrests in connection with these incidents before all is said and done.
