(ORLEANS) - Five Mitchell residents were hospitalized, and one arrested, after a wreck in Orleans that knocked out power.

Orleans police say Delbert Bowling was seen reportedly blowing a couple stop signs on Vincennes Street and an Orleans officer turned to pursue.

The pickup truck Bowling was driving took a turn onto CR500 West, cut it too wide and struck a utility pole, knocking out power, and Bowling took off running.

25-year-old Nathan King and 26-year-old Maynard Hall were flown from the scene, and 21-year-old Brandon Staggs was transferred by helicopter after arriving at Bloomington Hospital of Orange County.

18-year-old Shana Staggs and 22-year-old Cassandra Ping were also taken for medical treatment.

Bowling, the driver, would show up later with his grandfather at the Orange County Sheriff's office.

Bowling now faces charges of resisting arrest by fleeing both by vehicle and on foot, and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and was booked in the Orange County jail.
