Loogootee Woman Arrested For Child Endangerment
(SHOALS) - A Loogootee woman has been charged with child endangerment after police were tipped off by a caller due to an accident.
State Police Jasper officials say 49-year-old Barbara Spurgeon of Loogootee was reportedly in an accident in Shoals and left the scene, and it became suspected alcohol was possibly involved.
Police say when they found Spurgeon, she appeared to be intoxicated on a controlled substance, and also had her 7-year-old son in the car with her.
Spurgeon was charged with child endangerment, no word if any other charges are to be filed in Martin County yet.
