IU Claims $500M In Total Grants, Awards For First Time Ever

(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University has passed a record half-billion dollar mark for research grants and awards.
IU officials say awards to the university have increased 21% this past school year to $525.3 million. $263 million of that came from federal government sources, which is a jump of 25%.
IU President Michael McRobbie says this is the first time any Indiana institution has received more than a half-billion in grants and awards ever.
