Last updated on Thursday, August 21, 2008
(UNDATED) - State police are gearing up for labor day weekend by stepping up patrols.
Indiana State Police will be participating in a Combined Accident Reduction Effort, or "Operation CARE," which is a federally funded program allowing officers to have increased patrols of state roadways for the holidays.
State Police Sgt. Anthony Emery reminds Hoosiers to buckle up, stay sober, avoid tailgating and make sure you're well rested before traveling.
