Ex Nashville Cop Sent Back To Jail On Release Day
(NASHVILLE) - An ex-Nashville cop from Bedford has been given another 90 days in the clink for violating work-release rules and his probation.
The Brown County Democrat reports former officer 34-year-old "Bobby" Easterday, Jr. Will spend another 90 days in Brown County jail, for visiting his girlfriend in Columbus while on unsupervised prison work release.
The paper says Brown County Sheriff's Detective Scott Sutherland placed a tracking device on Easterday's car after receiving a tip, and found he was heading places he shouldn't have when he was supposed to be at work in Columbus.
Easterday was sentenced to serve 6 months in jail for felony drug violations and the extra sentence was handed down the very day he was scheduled for release.
Court records show Easterday lists Bedford as his home.
