Accident On Mt. Pleasant Road Damages Power, Phone Lines

(BEDFORD) - At 2:30pm this afternoon, Bedford Police got to the scene of an accident at Heltonville and Mt. Pleasant Roads where a vehicle took out a utility pole.
Mt. Pleasant Rd. is blocked in both directions as of 3:11pm at Heltonville Rd. with emergency crews, due to live power lines on the ground, and officers on scene advise they will be there for a while.
Power and some phone service has been interrupted in the immediate, including power to our sister station, Super Oldies 105.5 WQRK's transmitter.
Officers on scene say they can't advise exactly how long they will have to remain on scene, but say it will be for a relatively long time.
