(BLOOMINGTON) - Late Tuesday night, Monroe County deputies responded to a call of a personal injury wreck on Old 37 and when they arrived, they say the driver, 25-year-old Nicholas Galloway, took off running.

Once officers caught up to him, Galloway denied driving the truck, which had apparently gone through several yards before being stopped by a tree, however, deputies then found the keys to the truck in his pocket.

Also, in the truck, deputies found a bottle of pills sitting in plain view in the passenger seat, at least one of which was found to be methadone.

A second vehicle was also on the scene which Galloway said he did drive, and both vehicles were registered to 28-year-old Christina Bullard, who was also on the scene. When officers handcuffed Galloway, he tried running again with his hands behind his back, but officers nabbed him again.

Galloway was also found to be wanted on warrants from two other counties and now faces additional Monroe County felony charges of possession of a narcotic, drunk driving, escape and lesser charges of resisting arrest and false informing.

Bullard was found to be intoxicated and allegedly gave deputies a bunch of false info when questioned as well and was taken in for public intoxication.
