(SPENCER COUNTY) - Two Southern Indiana teenagers are dead after an accident on US-231 in Spencer County yesterday.

State police say 19-year-old Jason Wade of Boonville was northbound on US-231 when he pulled into the oncoming lane to make a pass, but when he topped a hill, he found 50-year-old Randolph Hogan of Louisville southbound in his own lane.

Wade and Hogan collided head-on, causing Hogan to be extricated and airlifted to St. Mary's Hospital with head and leg injuries.

Wade and his passenger, 15-year-old Kyle McCullough of Chandler, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

All drivers were wearing seat belts and US-231 was closed down for about 2.5 hours.
