Orleans PD Picks Up New Temporary Officer
(ORLEANS) - The Orleans Police Department has picked a man up…and have given him a badge.
22-year-old William Alex Fugate is the newest officer to serve the Orleans Police Department.
Fugate will be serving in a temporary capacity at least, as the Town Council has approved his hiring to help fill needed manpower capacity while Assistant Chief Edward Moffatt is out on sick leave.
Fugate is a graduate of both Orleans High School and the University of Evansville and is completing his pre-basic law enforcement training currently at the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department here in Bedford and will then attend basic training at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy this coming January.
