Former Queen's New Throne In Daviess County Jail

(ELNORA) - A former Greene County queen has been arrested for allegedly being involved in methamphetamine.

The Greene County Daily World reports that 30-year-old Melissa Lynn Dyal of Elnora is being held in Daviess County jail on at least 8 felony charges.

Dyal is a former Bloomfield Apple Festival queen, IHSAA state girls high-jump champion and current Bloomfield High School high jump record holder, according to the paper.

Dyal was arrested in Washington, Indiana as part of a drug investigation involving meth. Currently, Dyal is facing felony charges of possession of more than 30 grams of meth, conspiracy to manufacture meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of precursors, maintaining a common nuisance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, one of a syringe and a smaller paraphernalia charge.

The Daily World says Dyal faces up to 106 years in the clink and $85,000 in fines if found guilty on all charges.
