Cummins Puts 50 On Temporary Lay-Off, Relocates 80
Last updated on Wednesday, July 16, 2008
(COLUMBUS) - More bad news in the motor industry.
Columbus-based Cummins has temporarily laid off another 50 employees and moved about 80 more to other South-Central Indiana plants as the decline for big trucks with big engines decreases.
The company cut 163 workers at Columbus Midrange Engine Plant near Walesboro in June because of declining demand for Dodge Ram pickup trucks.
