(MARTINSVILLE) - Volunteers are helping people recover from last weekend’s flooding.
Linda Weber lives just north of Martinsville and volunteered to help at the new assistance center that opened there. Linda said she felt there was a need and she wanted to help out in some way. She's heard many devastating stories of residents who have lost everything.
When the rain came again Friday afternoon and the power went off, she says you could see the discouragement on the flood victims' faces.
