USDA Extends Deadline For Reporting Crops

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - Policy changes made by the 2008 farm bill and recent extreme weather conditions have caused The United States Department of Agriculture has extended their 2008 deadline for reporting crops.
Congressman Baron Hill wants all Southern Indiana farmers to be aware that late fees will not be charged if acreage reports are filed by August 15th.
Hill said he is pleased the USDA has extended the filing deadline and given area farmers some quote "much needed breathing room."
