Two Injured In Head-on Collison Near Shoals

(SHOALS) - Two people were injured Friday when a tractor trailer was involved in a head-on collision on US-50 east of Shoals.
According to the driver of semi, 35 year-old Kartreccra Ayers of Martinez Georgia, she was traveling east when she rounded a curve a blue 2002 ford driven by 39 year old Jeffery Rottet of Huntingburg, was traveling in her lane.
Ayer then struck Rottet's vehicle head on causing him to become traped in his vehicle and was extricated by the Shoals Fire Department.
Both were transported to Daviess County Hospital, Ayers with foot and leg pain, and Rottet with multiple injuries.
Both vehicles were totaled in the accident.
