(WORTHINGTON) - A 13-year-old Greene County boy has been critically injured in an accident involving a semi and the tractor he was driving.

According to a report published in the Greene County Daily World, 13-year-old Jordan Murdock was driving a John Deere tractor on IN-67 just north of Worthington when he was approached from behind by a tractor-trailer driven by 56-year-old Royce Huffer, Jr. of Vincennes.

At the same time Murdock went to turn his tractor left onto CR50 West, the semi attempted to pass on the left, causing a collision that would result in Murdock needing to be taken by Air-Evac helicopter to Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis where he remains in critical condition.

Huffer, the truck driver was not injured, but cleanup from fuel spilled from his truck shut IN-67 down for around 3 hours.

Greene County Sheriff's officials are continuing to investigate the incident.
