Man In Custody After Trying To Flee Police On An ATV

(JASPER) - A Holland man is behind bars after trying to flee police on his all terrain vehicle.
Saturday afternoon an Indiana State Police Officer spotted a yellow Honda ATV traveling on IN-162.
When the officer turned on his lights to conduct a traffic stop the ATV operator, 23 year-old Nathan Hitt of Holland, did not stop.
The driver stopped a short time later and was lodged in Dubois county jail on felony charges of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle and operating while intoxicated and also cited for operating an ATV on state and county roadways.
