Man Steals Car, Spits On Officer, Goes To Jail
(SHOALS) - Indiana State Police from the Jasper District have a Loogootee man in custody after he allegedly caused a bit of a scene in Shoals, and spit on an officer.
Police say they were called to a residence on Lynnwood Street in Shoals shortly after midnight yesterday morning, to a disturbance call.
When officers arrived, they found 21-year-old Cole Tyson Ross in a vehicle in the driveway of the home, and reportedly found him to be intoxicated and in possession of marijuana, as well as a stolen vehicle.
When police started to put Ross in the back of their squad car, Ross reputedly became combative, allegedly kicking and spitting on officers.
Ross was then lodged in the Martin County jail on several charges, including battery.
