Hewetson Takes Honors, But Not Tiara, In America's Junior Miss
(MOBILE, AL) - Bedford’s very own Junior Miss Indiana took home a couple awards, but not the big one in the America’s Junior Miss competition in Mobile, Alabama.
18-year-old Anah Heweston took top honors for fitness and creative expression, however, the tiara went to Lindsey Brinton of Utah, followed by Jacqueline Rotman of California and Helen Ching of North Carolina.
The two category wins, however, nets Hewetson, the valedictorian for this year's Bedford North Lawrence graduating class, a $1,000 dollar scholarship for each, which will be a big help when she heads to the University of Virginia this fall.
