South I Street Shut Down For Gas Leak
Last updated on Monday, May 12, 2008
(BEDFORD) - Bedford crews had a section of south I Street shut down near the city limits due to a gas leak.
Lawrence County Emergency Management Director Valorie Luchauer tells WBIW News a city highway worker accidentally struck a gas main, and crews responded to the scene.
Though they are not anticipating any cause for alarm at this time, they are asking drivers and residents to keep clear of the area to make it easier for crews to work.
