Something "Completely Different" For Mitchell Schools

(MITCHELL) - There was one upset for the Mitchell School Board race last night.
For Mitchell Community School Board District 1, challenger Will Ray just barely lost to incumbent Debra Beeler in the non-partisan race. The spread in that race was just 48 votes.
For District 2, there was no incumbent and Michele Super took that race clearly, defeating challengers Larry Hardman and Ted Parker.
And your second upset was District 3 Mitchell School Board, where incumbent Susan Miller was defeated handily by challenger Jamie Kirk.
So look for a completely different make up on the Mitchell Community School Board after this binding race.
Correction notice: WBIW News had originally called Dist. 1 Mitchell School Board for challenger Will Ray by our unofficial vote tallies. The result posted above is the official result via the Lawrence County Clerk's Office, and Debra Beeler is, indeed, the winner.
