(BEDFORD) - Bedford police have arrested one man on drug violations, and believe more may turn up in a subsequent investigation.

Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley tells WBIW News they were called to a home on the 500 block of 17th Street to the report of an unwanted individual urinating off the porch of a home.

The homeowner called the police to have the man removed. When they got there and made contact with 19-year-old Bradley Carter, they say he failed a breath test, and they found a green leafy substance on his person that tested positive for marijuana.

However, police apparently found additional evidence that resulted in Bedford detectives conducting an investigation.

Carter was arrested and charged with public intoxication, illegal consumption and possession of marijuana, and more charges may arise pending results of the investigation.
