(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department has announced they will participate in the state’s seat belt enforcement program.

From May 16th through the first of June, covering Memorial Day, Sheriff's deputies will be running their "Click It or Ticket" enforcement campaign throughout the county, along with other agencies including the Indiana State Police.

Sheriff Craig says that, though seat belt usage statewide has increased dramatically, they still have issues with one specific demographic, those being male pickup drivers between the ages of 18 and 34 who live in more rural areas.
