Jackson County Horse Riders Hit By Car

(FREETOWN) - Authorities say two riders were injured when a pickup truck hit their horses from behind on IN-135 in Jackson County.

Investigators believe the driver fell asleep while driving northbound on IN-135 Monday and struck the horses.

Both riders were treated for minor injuries.

Authorities say the horses did not suffer any major injuries.
