Heltonville Man Nabbed On Hit-And-Run Charges

(BEDFORD) - One man is behind bars after a Saturday morning accident involved him running into a parked car and allegedly trying to get away.
Bedford police reports say 47-year-old Richard Cobb of Heltonville hit a parked car on the 700 block of H Street, and then allegedly got out and walked away, trying to leave the scene with blood on his face.
Police would catch up to him and arrest him, and noticed he seemed intoxicated on both drugs and alcohol.
Blood tests were given to Cobb, the results of which are not listed.
However, Cobb was charged with a felony count of being a habitual traffic offender, and lesser charges of leaving the scene of an accident with injuries, driving while intoxicated and disorderly conduct.
