Unionville Man Arrested In Fight Over Trailer Hitch
(BLOOMINGTON) - A Unionville man is in Monroe County custody after a fight over a trailer hitch Sunday night.
Monroe County Sheriff's reports say 46-year-old Jeffrey Warweg of Unionville arrived at a home on the 9000 block of Northshore Drive where the victim and a few friends were hanging out.
When Warweg got there, officials allege he accused the victim of taking his trailer hitch, which the victim claimed no knowledge of.
County officers then allege Warweg pushed the victim to the ground and started punching and kicking him right in front of three witnesses.
Reports say Warweg did believe the victim had his trailer hitch, but could not explain why he injured the victim, especially since Warweg himself had no injuries.
Warweg was arrested by Monroe County deputies on a misdemeanor charge of battery.
