Indiana Signs Up 380,000 New Voters; 50,000 Have Already Voted

(BEDFORD) - The State of Indiana is geared up for the May 6th primary.

The Secretary of State's office reports more than 4.3 million Hoosiers are registered to vote, and more than 380,000 of them are newly registered voters.

That's a healthy bounty for anyone running for office to get a hold of.

Additionally, more than 50,000 Indiana voters have already shown up to be heard in absentee voting. Lawrence County Clerk Myron Rainey wants to remind area residents that the county courthouse in Bedford will be open these next two Saturdays for absentee voters to get in.

The polls will be open from 8:30 in the morning until 3:30 in the afternoon for Lawrence County residents to show up and be heard.

Remember to bring photo ID to the poll with you.
