(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Indiana 9th District Democratic Congressman Baron Hill has announced his introduction of a tax relief package aimed at helping those who help American servicemen and women on the homefront.

The Homefront Heroes Tax Relief Package is aimed at recognizing those who participate in the Department of Defense's "America Supports You" program.

Hill says the first bill will provide a $500 tax credit to those who send care packages through the program.

The second bill would provide further incentives to those who spend 10 hours a week for 4 weeks helping a military family with a family member deployed overseas through an accredited organization.

The maximum incentive on that is another $500.
