(BEDFORD) - The National Weather Service is expecting flood conditions to worsen in southern Indiana over the next few days.

Today and tomorrow should be relatively dry with the exception of a couple odd showers moving through the area early this morning. However, Thursday and Friday we're back to rain, possibly thundershowers.

Flood warnings in Bedford continue through at least this morning, and in Seymour until Saturday morning.

Warnings in Williams, Rivervale and Shoals remain until further notice.

Additionally, Monroe and Patoka Lakes are nearing capacity, according to reports by the Army Corps of Engineers. As of yesterday morning, engineers from the Louisville District say Monroe Lake can hold only about 2.2 inches more rainfall and Patoka Lake can handle about 2.7 more inches.

Both lakes are currently a little over 80% capacity.
