Five Hurt In Head-On Accident

(WILLIAMS) - Five people are in the hospital after a head-on accident yesterday morning near Williams.
Lawrence County officials say 36-year-old Wendy Houk of Williams was northbound on Fayetteviile-Williams Road when she crested a hill, came through a corner and, reports say, crossed the centerline and ran headlong into a vehicle driven by Amy Watson of Bedford. Airbags deployed in both vehicles.
Houk complained of chest pain and Watson of pain in her neck. Houks two kids, who were in the car with her, were also injured, as was Watson's 4-year-old son.
All were taken by ambulance for their injuries, no citations are listed.
