(ORLEANS) - The Dogwood Festival committee in Orleans has announced one final committee meeting to take place this coming Saturday at 9:00am.

The Community Room of the Orleans Town Hall will open up to all chairpersons, volunteers and members of the public interested in the 40th annual event.

Additionally, the committee is encouraging Orleans residents to participate in a "Clean Sweep" this week, an effort to clean up the yards and areas of the town affected by the recent flooding.

They have placed a dumpster at the town garage to get rid of unwanted items, and have also set up a hotline at 865-2539 for residents who need to have brush or heavy items picked up.
