(CRANE) - NSWC Crane has received $800,000 in grants to help veterans with disabilities.
The Learning and Employment Center for Veterans with Disabilities at Crane has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with a number of Indiana agencies, in an effort to formalize its pilot program.
As a result, $400,000 was granted by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development and another $400,000 by the Lilly Endowment.
Workforce Development Commissioner Teresa Voors says the idea behind the program is so veterans, "don't have to go through red tape to get what they deserve."
