Clinton Speech Focuses On Economic Issues

(BEDFORD) - Yesterday afternoon, for at least a little while, all eyes were on Bedford.
Former President Bill Clinton made his visit to Bedford yesterday afternoon, albeit late. Clinton arrived at "The Quarry" at Bedford Middle School around 3:00pm today instead of the originally planned 1:00, and spoke for a good 40 minutes as to why his wife, New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, would be the ideal nominee to take on presumed republican candidate, Arizona Senator John McCain.
"If you want to fix this economy, you're going to have to cover everybody, and give them affordable healthcare," the former president said toward the end of the speech.
"Under Hillary's plan, nobody will be able to say they can't afford it, 'cause you'll take the savings and subsidize the premiums for low income people and small businesses. So, I would just say again, you just got to decide if this stuff's important to you."
The house was packed, and media outlets from the paper to two Indy television stations were all here in the Stone City to record the event, and WBIW aired the event live as it happened.
