(BEDFORD) - The Johnny Hall-Mar gas station has been burglarized again early this morning.

In what seems to be an at least monthly occurrence, Hall-Mar had glass broken out of a window and door on the business, and a window on a shed behind the business.

Like before, several cartons and loose packs of cigarettes were stolen along with an undetermined amount of Hoosier Lottery tickets.

Bedford Police Department's Assistant Chief Dan Kirk tells WBIW News the burglaries, as they are, are suspicious. With such frequent criminal activity at the gas station, Kirk says the department has officer's constantly checking the building and there have been times when a burglary would be reported merely minutes after the building was checked.

The last time Johnny Hall-Mar was burglarized, reports show they chose to file a report with state police instead of Bedford police, and no formal investigation is reported to have been conducted in that incident.
