Area Under Freeze Warning This Morning, Tonight

(BEDFORD) - It’s the middle of April, and we’re under a freeze warning.
The National Weather Service has declared a freeze warning over the night to last until 10:00am this morning, and then goes back into effect tonight and goes through tomorrow morning.
The freeze warning includes Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Jackson, Greene, Brown, Orange, Washington, and Bartholomew Counties, including the cities of Bedford, Bloomington and Columbus.
Meteorologists say northerly winds are dropping through the area today and tonight, causing temps to drop below freezing, possibly damaging crops and other recently planted plants in the back yard.
