(BEDFORD) - The Indiana State Highway Department is missing a trailer, and, at the moment, they think it’s stolen.

Bedford police reports say a red cable reel trailer was called in stolen yesterday afternoon, along with the 1,600 feet of heavy-gauge copper wire on it.

Though police are waiting on a written confirmation from the owning company that the trailer is, indeed, stolen, Bedford has already passed the matter on to their detective division for investigation.

Bedford police estimate the combined value of the trailer and cable to be in the neighborhood of $15,000.

However, Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley told WBIW news, unless the thieves know some shady recyclers, they're going to have an awfully difficult time unloading their booty in the State of Indiana.
