Governor Tours Southern Indiana Flood Areas

(UNDATED) - Governor Mitch Daniels toured flood damage in Southern Indiana Thursday to help determine if parts of the state should be declared disaster areas.
Daniels began his tour by talking shop with Seymour residents over breakfast at a local diner. He says that first responders and other Hoosiers are already helping flood victims recover.
Daniels says much of Southern Indiana is under water, from Seymour and Scottsburg to West Baden and French Lick.
He is meeting with state emergency management officials to determine if certain spots should receive the disaster area distinction -- a label that would bring state aid like low-interest loans to flood victims.
