Bedford Woman Injured After Hitting Tree Head-On

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was injured in an accident last night, how it happened, she reportedly says she doesn’t know.

Lawrence County police responded to the accident on Dixie Highway south of Tressellview Drive.

Reports say 58-year-old Kathy Tolliver was southbound on Dixie when, she says, she coughed, and next thing she knows, her car's headlong into a tree.

Lawrence County reports say she ran off the left side of the roadway, glanced off a stone wall, and ran head-on into the tree.

Tolliver said she doesn't know how any of it happened, but was looked over by Dunn Hospital EMTs and released on the scene.

No citations have been issued.
