IU In Top 20 For Private Donations Again
(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University has released a report from the Council for Aid to Education saying they are, once again, within the top 20 universities in terms of receiving private donations.
As a matter of fact, they're number 19 with $278.6 million, and that puts them in 4th place among Big Ten schools, and 7th place among public universities in general.
Your top public school in private fundraising is UCLA at number 10, and your best big ten school is Wisconsin at number 13.
As a matter of fact, of the 8 public universities in the top 20, 4 are Big Ten schools.
Your top 5 included, in order, Stanford, Harvard, USC, Johns Hopkins and Columbia.
However, Indiana's position is pretty impressive when you take into account that, just a decade ago, private donations were less than a third of what they are now.
