(UNDATED) - The new e-mail hitman scam we warned you about yesterday has apparently already made its way to South Central Indiana.

State police in the Sellersburg District have already been made aware of 2 of those e-mails making their way to the area, one specifically in Scott County.

The e-mail author tells recipients that they are a hitman and if you don't want to be killed by that person, you should send them anywhere between $15,000 and $20,000.

The FBI and Indiana State Police are already aware of the scam.

However, they both do urge recipients of this e-mail to report it to the FBI by visiting www.ic3.gov, but also, if you think you have received a legitimate threat against your life, make sure you still call police to further steps can be taken.
