Girgis: Property Tax Proposals Could Cost Bedford Nearly $2 Million

(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Chamber of Commerce held another of their Third House sessions Saturday morning with Representatives Eric Koch, Sandra Blanton and State Senator Brent Steele in attendance to talk about, mostly, property tax proposals before the General Assembly in Indianapolis.
During the session, Bedford Mayor Shawna Girgis mentioned that the City of Bedford would lose just shy of $2 million in funding over the next two years if the proposal, as listed, were passed.
No word yet from Mayor Girgis on what that size of loss would mean in practical terms to the City of Bedford.
