FBI Confirms Hitman E-mails Are A Hoax
(UNDATED) - Sometimes when con artists’ attempts to scam you through e-mail don’t work, they seem to get even more forward in their scams.
A new one the FBI is warning about says people are sending out e-mails saying they are a hired hitman and that if you pay them enough, they won't go through with it.
One line of the scam e-mail says, "What you will do now is to tell me that you're ready to make my advance payment of $20k, then I will provide you the account of where you will need to swift the money."
FBI officials confirm this is a hoax, and to ignore it along with all the other spam you get in your inbox.
