(BEDFORD) - The Bedford and Mitchell tag-team arrest and effort continues to develop.

Tuesday afternoon, Bedford and Mitchell police served a search warrant on a home on 21st Street in Bedford looking for additional evidence against 48-year-old Gregory Deckard and 33-year-old Warren Wagnon, who, on Sunday, had been arrested for allegedly burglarizing a home on Vine Street in Mitchell and severely beating a man inside.

Mitchell Police Chief Jim Richardson told WBIW News a set of brass knuckles were found in the home.

Also, while searching the Bedford home, police officials say they found probable cause for a second, drug-related search warrant, which was reportedly issued yesterday.

However, as a result of that, 2 new, unconfirmed names have been brought into the investigation.

The other two men, Deckard and Wagnon, have both had their charges changed, and are now both charged with felony counts of burglary resulting in bodily injury and battery resulting in serious bodily injury.

Both men have pleaded not guilty in Lawrence County Superior Court.
