Last updated on Monday, February 18, 2008
(WEST LAFAYETTE) - The president of the Big Ten Network says there’s “good progress” in the channel’s stalemate with Comcast and other cable providers.
Mark Silverman told a Purdue audience there could be a deal "fairly soon."
The fledgling network wants a position on the basic tier for cable subscribers.
Most providers have placed the network on a sports tier which costs extra.
