Shoals Man Accused Of Molesting Child For 3 Years

(ORLEANS) - State Police Jasper and the Orange County Division for Family and Children have concluded the bulk of a child molestation investigation with the arrest of a Shoals man.
According to the preliminary report provided by the Jasper post, a warrant was issued yesterday for 49-year-old Michael D. Westhafer of Shoals on what they currently describe as numerous counts of child molesting.
The crimes reportedly occurred in Orleans between 2003 and 2006.
Westhafer was already being held in Orange County jail on unrelated charge, and is also apparently facing other charges in Martin County.
