McCracken Declares Run For County Council

(BEDFORD) - A relatively big name in Lawrence County has tossed his hat in the ring to run for County Council at Large.
Lawrence County Economic Growth Council Chairman Gene McCracken has entered his name in the Republican primary for an at-Large spot for Lawrence County Council.
The only general election opposition the republicans face so far in Lawrence County council races is Kristine Van Pelt, wife of State Senatorial candidate Tony "Big Dog" Van Pelt, both of which filed their candidacy on Wednesday, the first day available for individuals to officially declare their intentions to run for office.
