BPD Catch Man Wanted For Forgery On Unrelated Call

(BEDFORD) - Bedford police had a chance run-in with someone they refer to as a regular contact, which ended up closing a forgery case from late last year.
Bedford police officials say they received a call from Bedford Regional Medical Center saying there was a man there, possibly on drugs, causing trouble in a patient's room, and that they had to run him out of there twice.
When officers arrived, they made contact with the subject, 29-year-old Aaron Reed of Mitchell, but realized that, after taking care of the immediate situation, they had no reason to take him into custody.
However, they ran a warrant check on Reed and found he had an outstanding warrant from a forgery case that was filed last month.
In that case, he and another potential suspect allegedly cashed a stolen check that was caught by Hoosier Hills Credit Union for more than $200.
Bedford police are unable to say if there is a warrant out for his alleged female accomplice at this time.
