Bedford Woman Wrecks Truck, Allegedly Tries To Leave
(BEDFORD) - In the bin of strange accidents, we find one from late Saturday night going into Sunday morning, as, according to Sheriff’s reports, 45-year-old Beverly A. Wilson of Bedford reportedly ran into the side of a bridge on Lawrenceport Road near Lawrenceport Main.
The report says Wilson backed her truck up from its initial point of impact, and drove onto the bridge and stopped.
When an officer arrived, he advised Wilson to put her vehicle in "park" so he could conduct his stop.
Wilson allegedly informed the officer she was leaving, and then started turning the wheel and pressing the accelerator, however her Ford pickup couldn't go anywhere, despite her attempts.
Wilson was found to have had a laceration on her forehead and was taken to Bedford Regional Medical Center, where officers received authorization to do a blood draw to test blood alcohol content.
