Bedford Police Investigating Domestic Battery Case

(BEDFORD) - Bedford police are investigating a domestic assault that occurred yesterday morning at Park Place Apartments on 6th Street.
Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley tells WBIW News they got a call from a 40-year-old female saying she had been beaten.
The report says she had come to her ex-husband's place to care for him since he supposedly had trouble breathing.
She stayed the night and, when she woke him up for work the next morning, he allegedly began punching her.
By the time officers arrived, the man was gone and the woman reportedly suffered fractures to her nose, facial bones and bruising to her ribs.
The case is currently under investigation, no charges have been filed as of yet.
